I find it very interesting that wikis allow for open collaborative information sharing by everyone.
Content can quickly be edited and added to constantly. There are no requirements of HTML or other computer languages for one to be involved in a wiki. Wikis democratize the process and participants in sharing new information instead of a hierarchy of limited individuals. It can cover any subject including meetings, conferences, or hobbies ad infinitum...
Wikis could be used in libraries to make changes to subject guides, get customer reviews on books (replacing OPL's long ago method of adding comment sheets inside the books!), and be a community hub of information about activities and events in Omaha and surrounding areas. The Circ manual could be on a wiki.
